NWHA invites members, project owners, and guests to join us at the Technical Workshop and NW Hydro Operators Forum on April 30th and May 2nd. This event is tailored towards project owners, technical experts, plant operation staff, O&M managers, and engineers in the hydropower industry. The event features case studies, deep dives, the latest updates in technology, and networking opportunities curated by the NW Hydro Operators Forum members and the NWHA Technical Committee.
NW Hydro Operators Forum
April 30th is the NW Hydro Operators Forum open to any member working at a utility. This is a half-day workshop for owners reviewing shared challenges, near-misses, brainstorming on how to modernize the hydropower fleet, and best practices for O&M. The workshop will be in the morning followed by breakout sessions in the afternoon or a tour of Priest Rapids Hydropower Project. The breakout sessions include Dam Safety, Machine Condition Monitoring, and Asset Manager.
Technical Workshop
April 30th will feature a tour of the Priest Rapids Hydropower Project in the afternoon as well as a networking dinner to talk with colleagues about your projects, share issues, and find resources for your organization through conversations with fellow attendees.
May 1st will feature the Technical Workshop which is a full day of case studies, presentations, and panel discussions.
May 2nd will entail a tour of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the morning. The tour is tailored to Operations and Maintenance experts. The tour will include tours of the Grid Storage Launch Pad, the Oil Free Bushings Test Stand, Corrosion Fatigue Work, and Digital Twins.
